Located on 2 acres of land on the South side of downtown Kalamazoo, Tabitha Farm, Urban Homestead & Plant Nursery practices permaculture as Direct Action. We have cultivated a "Food Forest", a fruit orchard, and raise egg laying chickens, goats, rabbits and ducks, use the animal manure for a compost operation to feed and mend the city soil, and use a geodesic dome green house to lovingly grow our plants. We sell Michigan genotype perennial flowers that we grow from seed, and regional native shrubs, trees from quality root stock. We also sell farm fresh eggs and value added products like hand crafted goat milk soap, and honey. You can find us at the Kalamazoo Farmer’s Market on Saturdays from May until July, and also open by appointment at the farm.
